The Pakistan Council for Science and Technology has recently published its first book listing all the Non Governmental Organizations in Science and Technology in Pakistan. There are over 40,000 registered NGOs as well as a significant number of unregistered NGOs in Pakistan. PCST short-listed 680 NGOs on the basis of their activities. Only 115 NGOs were considered as having engaged in S & T. PakMS is the only mathematical organization that is amongst these 115.
